During the week of October 21-25, Novonor Group companies promoted initiatives to celebrate Our Culture Week. Moments to broaden...
Our future from the perspective of today’s youth
DATE: 04/17/2018
Around 80 of the Group’s Young Partners (YPs) gathered at the Odebrecht São Paulo Building last Monday (9) for a day of knowledge, reflection and integration.
The goal was to promote the sharing of experiences, forge partnerships among participants and reinforce the message of young professionals’ capacity to influence the business environment, while incorporating the Group’s values and work concepts.
The event agenda also set aside moments for the YPs to interact with leaders from the holding company and various Businesses to develop their overall vision of the Group.
A group dynamic for reflecting on the future
During the gathering, the YPs received a special mission: to inspire Leaders by reflecting on the future of the Odebrecht Group. The group dynamic compiled a broad array of ideas, which will be compiled into the contributions of this new generation and soon be presented by the YPs themselves to the officers of the Odebrecht S.A., including the CEO, Luciano Guidolin.
Talk show
One of the highlights was the talk show with the participation of team members who today lead very challenging PAs in the Businesses of the Odebrecht Group.
Ludmila Lavigne from OR; Clarice Romariz from Ocyan; Ana Carolina Farias from Rota das Bandeiras; Gustavo Sergi from Braskem; and Marcelo Annes from Atvos, were the Leaders invited to share their career paths, their achievements and the lessons they learned.
The occasion transformed into a deep and frank conversation full of lessons, empathy and the exchange of experiences.
And what does this new generation think?
We spoke with some YPs and share below some of the exercise to promote reflection and new ideas conducted at the gathering. Check it out!
What motivates me to do what I do?
“The chance to learn, grow and develop, both personally and professionally, doing what I love at a group with many opportunities”
What values do I share with the place where I work?
“Values such as spirit of service, humility and commitment are, without a doubt, part of my essence and, since my first day of work here, have been fundamental for creating a sense of passion about my work.”
What is the impact of my work on society and the world?
“Our analyses are used by leaders so that they have better data for making decisions. Thinking more broadly, I see our work helping to reduce unemployment and improve people’s lives.”
What are the impacts that technological and industry trends can have on a company such as this?
“The Group is increasingly prepared for changes in labor relations and society. By effectively applying the new compliance policies, valuing people and reaffirming its core values, Odebrecht is rebuilding itself in a solid and sustainable way.”
What intelligence and knowledge will be valued in this future? How will professionals be able to learn these and other new skills?
“In the near future, I believe there will be a disruptive movement with work and learning models accessible in remote and virtual environments, with each program adapted to each reality presented.”
What do we need to stop doing, keep doing and start doing?
“Thinking transformatively, I believe we should stop thinking about our programs individually. We should keep looking towards a broad horizon, creating a vision of the future and not necessarily a vision of a business. And, last, we could map and develop synergies between people’s capacities and work processes.”
