Meeting with independent external monitors

This Wednesday morning (April 11), Odebrecht leaders had a meeting with Otavio Yazbek and Charles Duross to talk about their first year working as independent external monitors. The meeting was streamed live to Team Members, representing one more step towards building increasingly transparent relations within the Group. In addition to the 70 leaders present, the event was watched live by more than 1,000 people from various countries, who also submitted their questions.

Otavio and Charles are monitors appointed by the Federal Prosecution Office of Brazil (MPF) and by the United States Department of Justice (DoJ), respectively.  They have been monitoring the Group’s initiatives to put into practice the commitments it made in the agreement signed in December 2016.In 2017, they made observations and recommendations, which helped in the evolution of Odebrecht.

The meeting was also a moment for Luciano Guidolin, Chief Executive Officer of Odebrecht S.A., and Olga Pontes, Chief Compliance Officer at Odebrecht S.A., to share with everyone Odebrecht’s Compliance priorities in 2018.
