Via Sul’s Young Apprentice Project Wins Supera Award for Transforming Youth Realities in Soledade
DATE: 11/14/2025
The Young Apprentice Project, an initiative by the Via Sul Construction Consortium (CCVS), formed by Odebrecht Engenharia & Construção and PowerChina, has just won the Supera Award in the Social Project category. This national recognition, granted by the Motiva concessionaire, values actions that promote inclusion, reduce inequalities, and generate sustainable impact.
Unprecedented in the municipality of Soledade (RS), the program offers training for 50 local youths in partnership with the City Hall and the National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI). Lasting 12 months, the Logistics Process Operator course is held during school off-hours, providing a stipend, transportation, and access to a modern and practical educational methodology.
In addition to technical training, participants have access to complementary content, such as the QualificaAI course, which introduces Artificial Intelligence concepts, expanding digital skills and preparing them for market challenges.
The expected impacts of the Young Apprentice Project include social inclusion and strengthening local employability by offering concrete opportunities for young people seeking their first job. Furthermore, the program promotes the development of technical and behavioral skills essential for the job market and contributes to creating career prospects and youth leadership, fostering autonomy and engagement. The initiative generates positive effects in the territory, contributing to Soledade’s socioeconomic growth.

For Eduardo Rotava, Secretary of Economic Development, Innovation, and Tourism of Soledade, receiving this award is a source of pride for the city. “It shows we are on the right path, bringing together public authorities, Odebrecht, SENAI, and the community to prepare the new generation. Soledade grows when its youth grows, and this award confirms that investing in people is worth it.”
Juliano Pereira, Operations Manager at SENAI in Passo Fundo, adds: “This award is a great pride. It is the result of work developed by many hands, and the outcome is here—a very important recognition for the company and society.”
According to Joyce Melo, Communication and Social Responsibility Coordinator at the Via Sul Construction Consortium, “This project represents much more than a legal obligation; it is a commitment to the future. By offering real training opportunities, we are helping transform lives and strengthen the community where we operate.”
Emily Borba, one of the young beneficiaries, comments: “The Young Apprentice program has greatly contributed to my development, both professionally and personally. With the theoretical and practical experiences the course offers, I feel prepared to enter the job market with essential tools to stand out.” Emily says she has built emotional bonds with classmates, the teacher, and other professionals who support them, making the journey full of learning, valuable memories, and a qualification that represents security for the future of all students. “It has been an extremely rewarding experience, and I hope the program continues transforming lives and offering opportunities to more young people and students.”
The first class is expected to conclude in August 2026, with partial results already showing significant progress in sociability, engagement, and youth qualification.
