Health Area promotes meeting between mothers
DATE: 10/10/2024
At the end of August, the Health Area promoted an unprecedented meeting at the company. A conversation circle was organized with the aim of supporting members who are on maternity leave or who have recently returned to work, as well as providing a space for exchanging experiences. The event was attended by seven mothers with children aged between 18 days and 18 months, and a pregnant woman who will soon go on leave. The members, who are part of the teams from OEC and Novonor’s construction sites and office, were able to participate in person or via Teams.
During the conversations, the mothers brought to the group the main challenges they encountered in this new journey, whether with breastfeeding, sleep deprivation, or the choice of when to put the baby in daycare. The mothers who have already returned to work were also able to share with the group some tips on baby care and how to balance professional and personal life at this delicate moment.
The importance of this meeting goes beyond simple support; it reflects OEC Health’s commitment to the well-being of its members, recognizing the relevance of the maternity leave period as a crucial moment in these women’s lives.
“We understand that motherhood is a moment of personal and professional transformation,” said Dr. Denize Lopes, head of the Health Area at OEC. “This meeting is a way to demonstrate our support and ensure that our members feel valued and prepared for their return to the work environment.”
