Training in electrical substation operations at the Barra do Dande Oceanic Terminal
DATE: 06/18/2024
The training aimed to educate the participants on the processes of operating an electrical substation, such as performing the maneuvers to energize and de-energize a substation, following proper steps to avoid electrical accidents against the operator and the electrical equipment.
In this training, we had the opportunity to teach the trainees about the main equipment that makes up an electrical substation and how they are classified. We discussed topics such as: the risks that a poorly executed maneuver in a substation can cause to human life, the voltage levels that a particular substation can have, including high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage.
We believe that with this training and certification, the participants will be prepared for new challenges within or outside the organization, and thus, we continue to believe in people.
“It is a great pleasure to share my theoretical and practical knowledge acquired throughout my professional journey, and to pass this knowledge on to my colleagues from the TOBD project is an added value for everyone, because together we are stronger for a better TOBD. I am fully confident that after this training, you have become new people and will contribute to the TOBD project and the energy sector of Angola and the world.” – Pascoal Canjamba
