DATE: 11/18/2022
R$ 386 million contract provides for the execution of Guaratuba road, improvements in the surroundings and access to the city on the coast of Paraná.
OEC – Engenharia e Construção through the Nova Ponte Consortium will act in the planning and execution of Guaratuba Bridge, on the coast of Paraná (PR). The announcement of the bid valued at R$386.9 million was made by the DER/PR (Paraná’s Department of Highways). With a length of 1.2 km, the road will have four lanes for vehicles. Besides the construction of the structure, the project provides for improvements in the surroundings and in the access roads, contemplating the widening of PR-412 highway and the connection with Tabaquara Road to the city of Matinhos.
The forecast is that the construction will be executed within 32 months, considering the time for the environmental permits (two months), the project preparation (six months) and the construction services (24 months). The consortium is formed by: OEC (50%), Carioca Christian-Nielsen Engenharia S.A. (25%) and Goetze Lobato Engenharia S.A. (25%), all companies with a wide range of experience in large projects.
The bridge will be 1,244 meters long, with a minimum width of 22.60 meters, and will be built using three construction methods for the superstructure: cantilevered span, cantilevered succession, and precast beams. Four traffic lanes of 3.6 meters each, two safety lanes of 60 centimeters each, rigid concrete New Jersey barriers of 40 centimeters, sidewalks with bicycle lanes on both sides, 3 meters wide, and 10 centimeters of guardrail at the ends of the bridge are planned.
