Check the list of exams focusing on women’s health exempt of cost-sharing during the month of October.

Having a regular and consistent routine of self-care is a great challenges to reap the fruits of a healthy lifestyle. And this is directly related to the creation of habits, that range from regular physical exercise, meditation, more leisure time, drink more water, among many other factors that contribute to the quality of life.

But it is important to remember that having a preventive tests schedule should also be part of your healthy habits. After all, tests are valuable tools in prevention and early detection of various types of diseases, so they are great allies of health and well-being. If performed at the proper time and regularity, they can make a huge difference in your life.

Pink October
The main focus of the Pink October campaign is the prevention of breast cancer and women’s health. We want to raise awareness on self-care. In order to have a proactive agenda in relation to your health, you need to make you a priority.

Cancer is one of the leading causes of premature death (before the age of 70) in the world and it is estimated that from 2020 to 2022 there will be about 625 thousand new cases in Brazil, according to data released by INCA (National Cancer Institute). Among women, breast cancer is the most common, followed by colon and rectum, lung and cervix cancer. Having the preventive exams up to date is fundamental!

Tests free of cost-sharing during the Pink October month
To support women in health care and welfare, Horiens has a novelty. This year, in addition to maintaining the cost-sharing exemption for Mammography and Pap test, we were able to extend the benefit to our policyholders for a wide range of essential tests, contemplating women of various ages. See below the list of tests:

. Benefit valid for members and dependents, in the laboratories of the referenced network served by our health plans Bradesco and SulAmérica (with the exception of Fleury laboratory)

. For the other health plans offered by Horiens to its members, the cost-sharing exemption for Mammography and Pap test is maintained

. The tests must be carried out by 10/31/2020
