  • Construction at Ananindeua Terminal activates traffic diversions in km 07 of BR 316

    The execution of the construction works for the Ananindeua Integration Terminal will adjust the traffic at the height of kilometer 07 of the BR 316 highway, guaranteeing fluidity and safety in traffic during the construction of the complex that still involves tunnels, exclusive for the BRT Metropolitano buses , and the viaduct that will connect the northern and southern regions of the municipality. The provisional traffic diversions will be activated on the next 4th, starting at 7am.

    Towards Belém-Marituba there will be a prolongation of the diversion activated in a first stage, in January this year. The traffic was directed to a temporary diversion built to guarantee the flow of vehicles during the construction of the two access tunnels to the Terminal. This will extend for another 200 meters. Thus, whoever comes in this direction will enter the diversion, and return to the flow on the highway still in front of the Evandro Chagas Institute.

    Meanwhile, vehicles coming in the direction of Marituba-Belém will enter a temporary detour next to FAAM College and will return to BR near the Banco do Brasil Athletic Association (AABB).

    In both directions, three traffic lanes will be maintained. Extension is a strategy to assist drivers who travel along the road, allowing more fluidity in traffic and minimizing slowness, especially during times of higher vehicle concentration. The entire area is signposted and will have the support of agents from the State Traffic Department (Detran / PA).

    Terminal

    The Ananindeua Integration Terminal will receive feeder and BRT bus lines. The space will have three bus platforms (1 for exclusive line and 2 for local lines), two tunnels of exclusive access of BRT buses to the terminal, a Citizenship Station – which will offer services such as bill payment, document issuance and others – bicycle rack ; parking for motorcycles and cars; areas with wi-fi, administration, stairs, ramps, elevators, walkway, afforestation, lighting, waste center, in addition to the circulation area for pedestrians and cyclists.

    Requalification

    The BR-316 requalification works take place in the first 10.8 kilometers of the road, from the stretch between Entroncamento to the area near the entrance to the Alça Viária. In addition to the Ananindeua and Marituba Integration Terminals, a total of 26 passenger stations will also be installed (13 each way), 13 new walkways; four access tunnels of the BRT Metropolitano and the Operational Control Center (CCO), on Avenida Augusto Montenegro.

    The requalification of the BR-316 will transform the road into a modern avenue. Tracks with three lanes with flexible pavement in both directions, one lane in each direction exclusive to the BRT, two cycle lanes, one in each direction, two sidewalks for pedestrians, tactile floor, access ramps and urban furniture. NovaBR is a work of the Government of Pará, carried out through the Metropolitan Transport Management Center (NGTM).
