  • Message from Luciano Guidolin | Letter of Commitment to the Business Movement for Integrity and Transparency

    DATA: 08/10/2018

    Dear team members,

It is with great satisfaction that I announce another important step on our integrity path and a reaffirmation of the commitment we undertook to act ethically, with integrity and transparency.

On July 31, Odebrecht S.A., Atvos, Braskem, Ocyan, Odebrecht Engineering & Construction and OR signed the “Letter of Commitment to the Business Movement for Integrity and Transparency”, which is an initiative led by the Ethos Institute in partnership with the UN Global Compact and Transparency International.

We are pleased to say that we have participated since 2017 in the construction of this movement, which was supported by contributions from members of our Global Advisory Council convened in October of that year.

The movement’s goal is to engage business leaders in the integrity agenda, with a special focus on improving public-private relations and strengthening measures to prevent and combat corruption in Brazil.

In the letter, the companies undertake seven broad commitments aligned with the practice of a culture of integrity and propose a set of actions for which government is responsible at its three levels. I encourage everyone to read the Letter of Commitment in full (click here)*.

This commitment marks the engagement of companies in an agenda of mobilization and support for initiatives to transform the business and environment and contribute, at the broader level, to the implementation of the National Plan for Integrity, Transparency and Against Corruption in Brazil (click here)*.

    Warm regards,

    Luciano Guidolin

    Chief Executive Officer

    Odebrecht S.A.
